Wind Warning for the Swift Current Area
Environment Canada's Special Weather Statement continues for the Swift Current area with a Wind Warning. A very intense low Today and through central Saskatchewan Tonight. This system will begin to spread very strong wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h to Southern Saskatchewan beginning late this afternoon. In addition, certain wind prone areas just in the lee of the Cypress Hills may see gusts of 110 km/h. The strong winds will abate overnight or early Wednesday as this weather system tracks into Manitoba. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Mainly Sunny Today with a High of 23, Southwest wind at 40-60km/hr then 60-90km/hr this afternoon. Partly Cloudy Tonight and a Low of 1, Southwest wind at 60-90km/hr shifting to West 40 gusting to 60 km/hr overnight. Wednesday's outlook includes a High of 12, West wind at 40-60km/hr. Sunny and up to 21 by Thursday. Looking ahead to Friday, a High of 15 in the Sunshine and 11 for Saturday. More Sunshine on Sunday and 15 with a High of 10 for Monday .
