Artyom Minulin to Play for Team Russia in 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series

The Swift Current Broncos have announced that Artyom Minulin has been added to the Team Russia roster for the upcoming 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series. For Minulin, this will mark the second straight season that he will represent his nation. Team WHL will once again face Team Russia for the first two games of the annual six-game series that also involves the Ontario Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League as the series progresses. The series will commence on Monday, November 6th in Moose Jaw, SK before Minulin competes before his home crowd in Game 2 at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex in Swift Current, SK on Tuesday, November 7th.

Minulin is enjoying a strong start to his third season with the Broncos, amassing steady numbers on both ends of the ice with 10 points (3g-7a) and a plus-10 rating in 13 games. The native of Tyumen, Russia is eligible for the 2018 NHL Draft that is set to take place in Dallas, Texas in late June. The 6ft2, 200 lb blue liner has registered 93 points (16g-77a) in 155 career WHL games all with the Broncos. Minulin was drafted by the Broncos with the 29th overall selection in the 2015 CHL Import Draft.
